in the LOOP County Police Department. McDonough will begin his new role before July 1. The former Chief of Police in Mt. Lebanon, McDonough began his career in law enforcement in 1984 with the Pennsylvania State Police where he worked his way up through the ranks from Trooper to Deputy Commissioner. He has also served as the Law Enforcement Coordinator for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
