The former Chief of Police in Mt.
Lebanon, McDonough began his career
in law enforcement in 1984 with the
Pennsylvania State Police where he worked
his way up through the ranks from Trooper
to Deputy Commissioner. He has also served
as the Law Enforcement Coordinator for the
U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District
of Pennsylvania. He is a United States Army
veteran and is affiliated with a number
of professional organizations including
the Allegheny County Chiefs of Police
Association, the International Association
of Chiefs of Police, the Pennsylvania
