He’ll discuss Pirates players from the 1950s and 1960s, including Frank Thomas, Richie Zisk, Bill Mazeroski, and Stan Musial (who loved to talk about the Polish food he ate as a child). These men gave Pittsburgh’s ethnic groups a sense of pride in their culture and that goes far beyond pierogi races. All types of roses will be exhibited— shrubs, groundcovers, climbers, hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, old garden roses, miniatures and minifloras. Rose growing experts will be there to answer your questions and help you make sense of the vast variety of color, growth habit, and bloom features offered by the rose family of perennials. This is an excellent way to learn how today’s roses can be used in any garden design.
