EZ Home Exteriors and EZ Garage Doors
Making Home Improvement Less Complicated
O
n first glance, you might take the “EZ”
in EZ Home Exteriors and EZ Garage
Doors to mean “easy.” But at one time,
over half a century ago, a man named Ed Zambo
started a home improvement company focused
on hard work and customer satisfaction. Today,
that company is owned by Brien P. Murphy and
Justin Burns who represent the third generation
of ownership. The business still provides the best
products at the best prices for customers. There
are no high-pressure sales tactics or lengthy
presentations that are common in the home
improvement industry.
Murphy has been a lifelong resident of the South Hills and has
called Whitehall home for the last 13 years. He has coached GBWAA
youth baseball/softball for the past three years. Murphy understands
that it is not always “EZ” to find a good, reliable and honest contractor.
“Too many people in my industry try to clobber people over
the head with high prices and poor performance,” he says. “People
appreciate that we have a low-key approach to educating them on
the needs they have. There’s no reason to get [someone] to sign or
buy right now. Satisfaction of the customer is more important than
making money. That’s why we don’t take deposits and people don’t
pay us until the job is done. That’s a big reason for the success of our
business.”
Murphy adds, “We didn’t just come out of the woodwork. We’ve
been around for a while, and our customer service has won us Angie’s
List Super Service Awards as well as the Tribune-Review Readers’
Choice Gold Award.”
EZ Home Exteriors and EZ Garage Doors sells and installs roofing,
siding, windows, awnings, doors and garage doors. Unlike most
contractors, it doesn’t require a deposit to start the job and offers
12-month, same-as-cash financing. There’s no sales pressure, and
there are no time-consuming presentations to sit through before you
get to the bottom line with EZ. On any EZ home Exteriors call, you will
deal directly with Brien or his brother-in-law Mike. Plus, EZ will take on
the small jobs that other contractors don’t have time for.

“We want to be here for our customers,”
Murphy said. “We don’t utilize an answering
service; we have one of the EZ teammates
answering the phone live when you call our
office. So when the call comes through that
someone needs a spring fixed on a garage door,
or a single window replaced, we are there to help
out. How many contractors you know would
even take jobs like that? How many would come
out to fix one bedroom window or one piece of
loose siding? We will come out for those small
jobs because our customers are worth it to us.”
