Introducing the AHN Sports
Complex at Cool Springs
Allegheny Health Network’s new AHN
Sports Complex at Cool Springs is the
largest multi-sport facility in Western
Pennsylvania. The Bethel Park location,
formerly an 18-hole miniature golf
course, has been revamped and
transformed, housing 169,000 square
feet of space that includes a full indoor
turf field and two NCAA regulation
size basketball courts.
The big draw of the AHN Sports
Complex is not merely the physical
amenities, but also the services that
AHN will be providing, namely the new Sports Performance Facility.
Sports Performance will be run by Frank Velasquez Jr. ATC, CSCS.
Velasquez is a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength
& Conditioning Specialist who has over 20 years of experience
working with youth, high school, college and professional athletes,
including 16 years in professional baseball and nine years with the
Pittsburgh Pirates as their Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Velasquez, AHN’s Director of Sports Performance, is extremely
excited and optimistic about the premier services that Cool Springs
provides for athletes of all ages.
“The facility itself is setting a new standard in the industry and the
nationally certified staff is second to none,” he said.
The AHN Sports Complex at Cool Springs will be offering an “all
inclusive” experience, delivering a full range of sports performance
services including physical therapy, sports-specific strength training
and conditioning, therapeutic massage, and wellness education.
Aspiring athletes of all ages and skill levels will be encouraged to
work on their games with some of the best trainers. Clients will
also have access to the most specialized equipment in the region
including an Impact Whole Body Cryotherapy unit, Alter-G treadmill,
