SOUTH ARTS PITTSBURGH TO HOST FALL ART EVENTS
South Arts Pittsburgh is hosting three fall art shows at the Schoolhouse Art & History Center located at 2600 South Park Road in Bethel Park.
The first is Sunday, Oct. 5, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m., during the Bethel Park Historical Society’ s open house. A Halloween Bash & Art Market will follow on Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 9 p. m. with costumes, creepy fun and local art. The series will conclude with a two-day Artist Market on Nov. 8 and 9 from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m., featuring original works, jewelry, cards and gifts from local artists.
Reginald’ s Coffee will be open, and 10 percent of art sales will benefit the Bethel Park Historical Society. Learn more at southartspittsburgh. org.

On Saturday, Nov. 22, Keynotes will host a special evening featuring cocktails, dinner, live entertainment, raffle baskets and a lottery tree— all leading up to the Zambelli fireworks show at 9:30 p. m. Tickets are $ 100 per person, with reservations due by Nov. 14 at keynotesmusicscholarship. com.
The fundraiser supports Keynotes’ mission of awarding $ 16,000 annually in music scholarships to talented area students, with more than $ 452,000 awarded since 1970.

CKIDS Jewish Discovery Club
Chabad of the South Hills invites children in grades K – 6 to the CKIDS Jewish Discovery Club, held Sundays from 10:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. The program instills Jewish values through Aleph Champ Hebrew reading, holiday celebrations and hands-on learning.

CHECK OUT PHIPPS’ FALL FLOWER SHOW,‘ VISIONS OF JAPAN’
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is celebrating the beauty of Japanese culture and chrysanthemums with its annual Fall Flower Show, Visions of Japan.
Visitors will enjoy colorful displays featuring a torii gate, cascading chrysanthemum pagoda, moon gate, dragon installation and more.
Phipps has presented chrysanthemum shows since 1894, making this the nation’ s longest-running fall flower tradition. The show runs through Oct. 26.
Also debuting at the Garden Railroad is“ The Age of Dinosaurs,” which transports guests back to the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods with moving dinosaur figures, roars, and prehistoric plant life. This exhibit will continue through March 8.

A‘ CHRISTMAS AFFAIR’ AT JOHN MCMILLAN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
John McMillan Presbyterian Church hosts its annual Christmas Affair craft show on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. at 875 Clifton Road in Bethel Park. The event has been accepting applications from crafters interested in participating.
Each year, the Christmas Affair draws around 45 talented crafters offering a wide variety of handmade goods and holiday treasures. Highlights of the event include the festive Gingerbread House, an exciting chance auction and the ever-popular Kris Kringle Kafé.
Admission is free, and all proceeds support both local and global mission efforts.

LABOURÉ LADIES GUILD TO HOLD ANNUAL‘ JOY OF CHRISTMAS’ CRAFT SHOW
The Labouré Ladies Guild will hold its annual“ Joy of Christmas” craft show on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a. m. to 3:30 p. m. at St. Louise de Marillac School and LeGras Parish Center, located at 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair.
Note that due to fire safety regulations, strollers are not permitted.
At the event, there will be more than 100 artists and crafters, a bake sale, crafts raffle and a 50 / 50 raffle. The $ 2 admission includes a complimentary ticket for the crafts raffle. n
