This group performs for senior living facilities in the South Hills area . So what is Readers ’ Theater ? Well , the difference between theater and Readers ’ Theater is that there is no stage setting — the “ actors ” read from scripts ( so there is no memorizing of lines ). However , it is not merely reading : the actors do act and interact with each other , bringing scenes to life for the enjoyment of the audience . The group is always seeking new members so drop by a general meeting to learn more .

The focus is on the frontier conflicts over a 36-year period in the Ohio River Valley of Western PA : from the military occupation of the Forks in 1758 to the Whiskey Rebellion and defeat of Indian tribes in Ohio in 1794 . Sessions include lecture , discussion , and videos . Each session is topic oriented — you may join at any time without being concerned you have missed earlier sessions . Presenter Rodger Duffy has a master ’ s degree in Historical Geography from Northwestern University . He taught at DePaul University in Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater .

In fact , 77 percent of the free historical records on FamilySearch . org can ’ t be found by searching . This video will walk you step-by-step through the process of locating those elusive records .
