September is National Library Card Month. Every library-cardless adult who signs up for a card at Mt. Lebanon Public Library will be entered for a chance to win a free ticket to the library’ s January 28 Brews for a Chili Night event( a $ 35 value). This is open to people who do not presently have a library card in the entire Allegheny County Library system.
Welcome International Potluck 7 p. m., Monday, September 19
Celebrate Welcoming Week with an International Potluck. Welcoming Week strives to bring together immigrants and U. S.- born citizens in their communities. Please bring one interesting dish— entree, salad, or dessert. The library will supply the drinks. Families of all ages are welcomed.
September 25 to October 1 is Banned Book Week. Mt. Lebanon Public Library will celebrate the freedom to read with special displays, and will encourage patrons to snap their photo at our banned book mug-shot booth and post their images on the library’ s Twitter and Facebook pages.
