Now, the center is in the refinement stage of its growth, with areas of personal training and group exercise classes gaining a laser-like focus on its members. That refinement not only has singled out Cool Springs from the competition as a place for serious personal training and fitness, it has gained a reputation in the community as a fun and affordable alternatives to retail gyms. Emily Memo, Fitness Manager for Cool Springs, said that three personal trainers are available at any given time, each with their own areas of specialty. Anyone with arthritis or joint problems would also be a good fit in Claudia’s schedule. Lastly, Cool Springs has a general population trainer who works with students, seniors and everyone in between. Each trainer is available for assessment and consultation so you can determine what kind of regimen would be best for you. They analyze things like body fat, blood pressure, waist to hip ratio and what your personal goals are. People can then book a training package that serves their needs. Sessions can be private, semiprivate and in groups of three to six people. Members get a 5 percent discount on all training packages. Memo said Group exercise classes include 12-15 different ongoing programs such as basic yoga, beginners yoga, P90X, weights, core and more, Power Hour, Express HITT and more. Classes run in 6-week sessions and most of the basic classes are included with your membership. Starting this fall, specialized classes will be added at an additional, nominal cost because they require certified instructors to teach them. The center also will be adding three times more class space to its already growing exercise area, which will increase class sizes from five to 15 members per class. A large gym expansion is in the business plan for the fall, which will give members an additional 3,000 square feet of space. Within this added space will be room for unique group exercise classes including Spinning, Mat Pilates, Kettlebell and TRX. The last amenity that will be added is the child drop-off area, which will be available to everyone who enters the building and is a supervised play area for toddlers to 10-year-olds. The area will be monitored by qualified childcare professionals, but is not a day-care, and will charge a modest cost, which will be determined when it opens this October.
