CROWNED MISS 22
QUTIES 2018
Last August, Abbey Casey of Moon
Township was crowned Miss 22 Quties
for 2018! This pageant welcomes young
women ages 14 to 25 with all types of
special needs. It started in 2011 to help
instill confidence in the young ladies and
to raise awareness. These amazing young
women compete by showcasing a talent
and participating in a Q&A session to
determine the winner.
Abbey sang “Part of Your World” and
answered two judges’ questions. This was
her third year participating, and she was
very surprised and excited that she won.
Abbey is very proud to don the crown at
events in hopes of recruiting more young
ladies to this spectacular event.

TAKES THE PLUNGE
FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
PITTSBURGH
Clearview Federal Credit Union
employee Heidi Hudak plunged into
28-degree water along with 1,200 other
participants for Pittsburgh’s annual Polar
Plunge on Feb. 23.
The Pittsburgh Polar Plunge is an
event to raise funds and awareness for
Special Olympics Pennsylvania. Funds
benefit the nearly 20,000 athletes who
participate in Special Olympics activities
across the state of Pennsylvania. Hudak
was part of the FBI Pittsburgh Cop

Partners team, and through her dedicated
fundraising efforts, she raised the most
for her team—contributing more than
$600 to Special Olympics. She was in the
2018 FBI Citizens Academy graduating
class, and as a Lifetime Member,
she gets invited to participate in the
FBI’s community awareness events like
the Polar Plunge.
Hudak, a first-time Polar Plunge
participant, is a Fraud Resolution
Specialist II and has worked at Clearview
for over 34 years. In regard to the event
and her motivation for participating,
she said, “It was awesome to see a very
caring atmosphere with law enforcement
and Special Olympians. So many people
were volunteering their Saturday for a
good cause and showing what it means to
be a Pittsburgher. Those who can should
help those who can’t. This is the culture I
work, live, and breathe.”

RON CELASCHI,
APPOINTED TO JUNIOR
ACHIEVEMENT BOARD
OF DIRECTORS
Clearview Federal Credit Union
announced that CEO Ron Celaschi
has been appointed to the Board of
Directors for Junior Achievement of
Western Pennsylvania. As a member
of the board, Celaschi and other
business and individual leaders in the
Pittsburgh community will set the
policy and directions for the Pittsburgh
JA office.
Junior Achievement USA is the
nation’s largest organization dedicated to
giving young people the knowledge and
skills they need to own their economic
success, plan for their futures, and make
smart academic and economic choices.
Junior Achievement’s programs revolve
around work readiness, entrepreneurship,
and financial literacy, and allow young
people the opportunities to experience
the realities of work and life in the
21st century.
In 2008, Celaschi joined Clearview as
Vice President of Lending. In 2012, he

was promoted to Senior Vice President
of Operations and Lending, where he
and his team led the change in lending
culture that resulted in loan growth that
far exceeded the industry.
Prior to joining Clearview, Celaschi
spent 14 years with the Pennsylvania
Credit Union Association and was
the president and CEO of Frick Tri-
County Federal Credit Union. He
holds a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration – Finance, and a Master
of Science in Business Administration.

Subscribe to Town Hall South, which
began in 1969 and features five lectures
that are held in the Upper St. Clair High
School Theatre from 10:10-11:10 a.m.
For the 2019-2020 season, the array of
speakers will include:
Oct. 1 – Lou Holtz, legendary football
coach, ESPN sports analyst and
renowned motivational speaker;
Nov. 5 – Beth Macy, award-winning
journalist with a focus on social problems
including the opioid crisis;
Dec. 3 – Alan Zwiebel, Emmy Award-
winning comedy writer including for
“Saturday Night Live”;
Feb. 4 – Vijay Gupta, violinist/educator/
mental health advocate; and
March 17 – Lynsey Addario, Pulitzer
Prize-winning photojournalist, focused
on war, injustice, resilience and humanity.
In addition to the formal lecture, an
optional luncheon at St. Clair Country
Club is held immediately following,
and the speaker is available to answer
questions posed by the luncheon
audience—which frequently leads to a
very candid exchange!
