she enjoyed the home game, her favorite
moment from the inaugural season was
when players shook hands with their
opponents at the end of a match.
“Whether we won or lost, everyone
had fun,” Jenna adds.
Senior Sudhee Acharya says she was
also glad to see the community support
the bocce team during the home
game against Mt. Lebanon. However,
her favorite memory was seeing her
teammates cheer each other on during
matches.
“It was good to see kids break
out of their shells and have fun,”
Sudhee says. “It was a very good
environment.” n
“For a lot of
the players, this is
the first time they
have competed on a
team. They also build
social bonds in a team
atmosphere that will
carry over when the
season ends.”
