Farmers’ Markets will be held in the Administration Office parking lot located at 1000 Beaver Grade Road every Wednesday from June through early October from 3 to 6 p.m. Penn’s Corner Farm Alliance will deliver CSA to the Township Administration Office every Wednesday and Clarion River Organics will deliver every Thursday. Residents may participate in one or both of the CSA farm cooperatives to receive a weekly delivery of locally grown fruit, vegetables and flowers. Register for Wednesday delivery at pennscorner.com/members/types and Thursday delivery at clarionriverorganicscsa. blogspot.com. Choose “Moon Township Municipal Building” as the pickup site. Each farm needs 10-12 participants in order to designate the township office as a drop-off site. The Farmers’ Market and CSA offer producers the opportunity to sell directly to consumers, thus increasing the economic strength of both the producers and consumers and generating revenue that will remain in the local economy. Vendors interested in participating in the Farmers’ Market can register online at moontwp.com/farmersmarket.html or by picking up a form at the Township Administration Office. A 10 x 20-foot parking space is available to purchase at a cost of $100 for the season. Sign up today, space is limited to 22 spots. This is a producer-only market; all vendors are required to grow or produce all items sold. Frozen prepared food and food trucks are welcome.
