Exercise and Nutrition:
THe Perfect Pair, Your Perfect Guide
Unlike popular belief, exercise alone will not give you desired results. Both exercise and nutrition are equally important
when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle, but both must be done in the proper way. The question then becomes,
“What is the proper way?” This article will guide you in the right direction to the results you want, in a way that is healthy.
Let’s start with exercise. As summer approaches, more and more
people are searching for that “summer body.” However, questions can
arise on how to properly exercise. Here are 5 FASTER Facts about
exercise:
1. Set Goal(s) – Not everyone is starting at the same point or desires
the same result. Whether your goal is weight loss, toned muscles or
to stay fit, it is important to set personal goals.

outdoor activities that are fun for you. By adding FUN to your
routines, you will eliminate feelings that exercise is work, allowing
you to enjoy it.
5. Cross Train – For that summer body, add cross-training exercises
to your routine. Mix cardio activities with strength training
activities into “super sets.” This is the most effective way to burn
calories and lose weight. Add plyometrics, core, and posture
exercises as well. An example of a super set would be: one minute
of cardio, 10-12 tricep dips, 10-12 v-ups and 10-12 lunges with
each leg, all completed three times.
Similarly, nutrition is just as important as exercise. Proper nutrition
to ensure success. To start, avoid fad diets. Healthy nutrition does not
mean changing what you eat as much as it means changing how you
eat. Here are 4 FASTER Facts on nutrition:
1. Eat Breakfast – Studies show that breakfast really is the most
important meal of the day. Your metabolism is like a small fire
and you need to rekindle the flame when you wake up.
2. Eat Your Carbs and Fruit in the Morning/Lunchtime – Fr ե
