CLEARVIEW DONATES $ 7,500 TO VARIETY THE CHILDREN’ S CHARITY
In support of the southwestern Pennsylvania community, Clearview Federal Credit Union recently presented a check in the amount of $ 7,500 to Variety the Children’ s Charity. The funds were donated in the form of entry fees and prize raffles during Clearview’ s annual charity golf outing, which was held in August at Beaver Valley Golf Club in Beaver Falls.
At the golf outing, Perry Wayne of Beaver County spoke of the work being done by Variety the Children’ s Charity and Clearview’ s support of the organization, which, in part, has benefited his 10-year-old daughter, Keira. Keira received an adaptive bike and communication device from Variety the Children’ s Charity.
“ This bike from Variety has changed not only Keira’ s life, but our whole family. Now she is able to ride bikes with her older brothers and is included in a family activity that we love. The communication device has great potential. We hope that as she learns how to use it more, it will be her voice to express her wants and needs,” Wayne said.
Variety the Children’ s Charity enables children with disabilities to live life to the fullest with a focus on mobility, communication, and social inclusion. For more information about this organization, visit varietypittsburgh. org.

Every basket included special touches such as candles, family recipes, tablecloths, festive napkins and more, in addition to Thanksgiving staples such as potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, pies, coffee and gift cards to purchase turkey and fresh ingredients. Donations were wrapped in reusable baskets and delivered to local pantries in time for the holiday.
