‘ SCRAPOSAURS’ AT THE GARDEN
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is featuring prehistoric creatures made from old scraps of steel, recycled metal and found objects. Take a walk through the exhibit and discover 15 imposing sculptures from another era. They will be displayed through Oct. 31.
Along with your ticket to Scraposaurs, you’ ll have access to 65 acres of cultivated gardens and woodlands, art exhibitions, Nature Adventure Backpacks, and other interactive activities.
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden hosted an unveiling of the new Ravine Garden & Overlook in May. The event,“ Blossom: Gone Native,” was a celebration of native plants in the Western Allegheny Plateau. THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
Enjoy the Dog Days of Summer at Settlers Cabin Park with a special evening that’ s all about our canine best friends. On July 28, from 6 to 8 p. m., take your dog to enjoy some off-leash time. There will be Veterinary Emergency Group staff on hand who will be doing CPR demonstrations, and Camp Bow Wow will have giveaways and pet information available.
