Monroeville Arts Council ’ s Year-End Offerings
It has been another busy year for Monroeville Arts Council in the community .
• Scholarships were awarded to Gateway graduates majoring in artrelated fields .
• The Art in the Park event in June was integrated into Monroeville Community Days , and children at the MAC table enjoyed artistic activities designing unique flag creations .
• MAC was represented in the annual Fourth of July parade . Candy was shared with the children and the weather and turnout were great .
• The MPL ’ s Funfest was another occasion for the children and families to enjoy time creating fanciful bookmarks and receiving special free gifts . Music is always a big part of the offerings of the organization , and this year was no exception . UPMC East is a much-appreciated backer of these musical treats held in the CCAC auditorium on Sundays from 4:30 to 6:30 p . m . Be sure to mark your calendars the Dec . 15 concert featuring Judi Figel !
A new and exciting addition will be offered this season : a free Holiday Craft Workshop on Saturday , Nov . 23 , from 2 to 4:30 p . m . at the Monroeville Public Library . This event is perfectly timed before the holidays with a wide variety of projects available for teens and adults . Registration is required . Please do not call the library !
