Monroeville Arts Council News Article by Nancy H. Dalverny ‘Tis the Season with MAC M onroeville Arts Council is offering a Holiday Craft Workshop—but not just an ordinary craft workshop! On Saturday, Nov. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Monroeville Public Library Program Room, all interested persons may enjoy creative time making items from a myriad of materials provided free of charge. Beads, colorful cardstock paper, live greens, recycled jewelry, ribbons and more allow participants freedom to design gifts just in time for the upcoming holiday season! A wide assortment of beautiful projects worthy of gifting to the most discriminating recipient will be part of the lineup. Materials to create a series of ornaments, gift bags and tags, jewelry, magnets, decorative items and many more exciting objects will be made available for those attending that afternoon. The workshop continues to evolve and adds new offerings each year. Persons who have suggestions for additional possibilities to enrich the craft event may call Nancy at 412.373.0711. Throughout the year, MAC has offered many additional perks for those who follow this local arts group, including two painting workshops, community concerts in July, a Kids’ Art in the Park event in June, Gateway High School Senior awards and support for Sunrise School—all events open and held at no charge to the public.
