STATE-OF-THE- ART SELF-STORAGE FACILITY COMES TO MONROEVILLE
On Sept . 21 honored guests joined Guardian Storage to break ground on an 83,525-square-foot , state-of-the-art self-storage facility at 4711 William Penn Highway in Monroeville .
The company plans to renovate and expand upon the existing two-story building , as well as construct a new threestory building , to create 709 self-storage units and retail space . “ After planning this property for two years , we ’ re excited to introduce the Guardian difference to the Monroeville and surrounding communities ,” says President Steven Cohen . “ The facility will be a valuable addition along Route 22 , providing the latest in self-storage amenities and security in a convenient location to meet the various needs of residents and businesses .”
Professional and experienced onsite managers will be available to help customers select the best space to meet their storage needs . Indoor units accessible by covered loading docks as well as drive-up units will be available in a variety of sizes , ranging from 5 ’ x 5 ’ to 10 ’ x 35 ’. Customers will receive individual pass codes to gain access to the facility 365 days a year through alarmed entrance doors .
According to Cohen , “ people use storage for a variety of reasons – for example , combining or separating households , staging their home for sale , or while constructing a new home . In almost all cases , they are going through some sort of transition , so it ’ s critical that we provide an easy , convenient and supportive customer experience .”
While residents will have a place to store their seasonal belongings , fine antiques or other household items , the facility will also prove a valuable resource for local business owners . Retailers can store extra inventory and fixtures ; small business owners can store materials , equipment and supplies ; and doctors and attorneys can store important documents and records .
“ We attract a lot of entrepreneurs and sales representatives who use their storage unit as a base of operation . It ’ s much more cost efficient than traditional retail or office space , and they know our properties are clean , dry and safe ,” Cohen explains . “ Guardian Storage facilities are also efficient and environmentally friendly because of our recycling , water efficiency , and energy-saving construction and operational practices .”
To further assist customers , the Monroeville facility will offer a variety of amenities such as free Wi-Fi and coffee , as well as the use of a meeting room , a fax machine and copier services . In addition , tenants can arrange for packages to be picked up on site or accepted by a Guardian manager .
The Monroeville facility will be the 14th Guardian Storage location in the Greater Pittsburgh area . The property , designed by Desmone Architects and being built by Bridges Construction , is scheduled for completion in March 2017 . Individuals and businesses interested in learning more or reserving units at 4711 William Penn Highway should contact info @ guardianstorage . com or call 412.661.7368 .
