THREE GENERATIONS OF OUR FAMILY SERVING YOURS
Born and raised in this area, Amy Burns represents a legacy of service deeply rooted in the community. Her family has called Trafford home for more than 100 years, and insurance is truly in her blood.
Coming from a family of State Farm agents— including three uncles and a cousin— Amy began her career as a licensed team member in one of her uncle’ s offices. It was there she learned the values that still define her agency today: protecting people properly, treating clients like family, and leading with honesty, integrity and hard work.
After earning her bachelor’ s degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, Amy moved into fire claims with State Farm. For 19 years, she helped families in the Monroeville area recover from devastating losses, guiding them through some of life’ s most difficult moments.
In December 2018, Amy opened her own agency in Monroeville. Her nearly two decades of claims experience, paired with a genuine passion for helping others, sets her apart. She understands not just how policies work, but how they work when clients need them most.
Amy has earned an MBA and holds several prestigious industry designations, including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter( CPCU) and Chartered Financial Consultant( ChFC), further demonstrating her commitment to expertise and professional excellence.
In addition, Amy’ s team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experience. Kellie, the agency’ s customer service manager, brings invaluable organizational and problem-solving skills to every interaction. Amy’ s daughter Mia marks three generations of State Farm professionals committed to helping customers protect what matters most.
Community involvement is equally important. The team volunteers at the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Trafford Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They have also participated in Monroeville Clean Up Day and events supporting the Monroeville Public Library and local volunteer fire companies. Monroeville Community Day and the Monroeville Jazz Festival are annual highlights.
Why State Farm? Amy has been part of the organization for 35 years and for good reason.
Founded in 1922, State Farm has spent more than a century protecting families. Ranked # 36 on the 2025 Fortune 500 list, the company’ s financial strength and stability provide confidence to millions of customers. Amy also values the organization’ s commitment to community and environmental initiatives, which closely align with her beliefs.
Beyond auto, home, and renter’ s insurance, State Farm offers coverage for businesses, pets, RVs, life insurance, and disability insurance— providing comprehensive protection for every stage of life.
For Amy Burns and her team, insurance isn’ t just a business; it’ s a family tradition, a community commitment, and a lifelong mission to help neighbors protect what matters most. Stop into the office at 4100 Monroeville Boulevard if you’ d like a free quote.
