Music , Arts , Creativity — Monroeville Arts Council continues its mission for over 45 years to promote arts in the Monroeville community . The ever-popular Art in the Park is entering its 12th year of creative activities for children of the area with a revised format . The activities will now be held in partnership with Monroeville Recreation and Parks as part of Monroeville ’ s Community Day on Saturday , June 8 . Place this date on your calendar for a fun-filled day with your family and your neighbors !
A wide variety of free music concerts is in store again this season , with performances that include standard ballads , patriotic tunes , rhythm and blues , and more !
With continued support from UPMC East , the revised summer series has now expanded to include concerts in October and December . Many of the musicians have brought audiences to their feet with enthusiasm for their fine performances . The afternoon concerts , housed in the comfortable air-conditioned CCAC auditorium , run from 4 to 6 p . m ., and are a relaxing and uplifting break from the daily world events .
Look for the 2024 schedule on the MAC website , Facebook , and local publications for further details on all of the exciting upcoming presentations , which have included such popular groups such as Darryl and Kim , East Winds Symphonic Band , Judi Figel , the Pittsburgh Belairs , and more .
MAC is grateful for support from UPMC East for these musical presentations , but your membership is the key to day-to-day operations and allows our group of volunteers to further reach out with additional art-related activities .
