MONROEVILLE JAZZ FESTIVAL TEAMS UP WITH EFWCP TO MAKE SWEET MUSIC
Monroeville Jazz Festival , Inc ., a nonprofit organization that has produced an annual jazz concert every year since 2003 , has announced that for the 2016 event an alliance has been formed with the Epilepsy Foundation of Western / Central Pennsylvania ( EFWCP ). Each year , the Monroeville Jazz Festival ( MJF ) supports a local nonprofit by encouraging donations from festival supporters and audience members to the beneficiary organization .
MJF chairman of the board and founder Chuck Summerville reports that the decision by the MJF board to support the fundraising efforts of EFWCP was driven by the community service missions of both organizations .
The Monroeville Jazz Festival brings national and local artists together each year at Monroeville Community Park ’ s Tall Trees Amphitheater , and has seen ongoing support and growth throughout its 14-year history . In turn , the organization ’ s outreach program helps support the efforts of other community service-related nonprofits .
The Epilepsy Foundation of Western / Central PA is a private , nonprofit service organization providing public education and supportive services to individuals and families affected by epilepsy / seizure disorders . The organization ’ s mission is to lead the fight to stop seizures , find a cure and overcome challenges created by epilepsy .
Volunteers from EFWCP will be present at the Monroeville Jazz Festival to answer questions and collect cash donations .
