Article by Nancy H. Dalverny Monroeville Arts Council News Spring into the New Year with MAC B ob Bickers and Marci Mason are undoubtedly two of the most popular and accomplished artists in the local area. Many aspiring and experienced artists would be thrilled to have quality time with them to glean tips and be guided by them to create a work of art. That exciting instructional opportunity is now being offered at no charge by Monroeville Arts Council in the Monroeville Public Library Program Room! On March 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., Marci Mason will guide participants as they create a spring-themed watercolor painting scene. The fall session on October 17 will feature Bob Bickers who will inspire artists as they paint a Pittsburgh scene. The location and times will be the same as for the spring event and will be another event not to be missed. Registration for each workshop begins one month before the start date by calling 412.373.0711. Each artist is an expert and award- winning artist. Workshop participants— regardless of ability—will benefit from each instructor’s experienced and competent instruction. Although all instruction is free, there will be a $10 materials charge for non- members of Monroeville Arts Council. Membership in MAC is a mere $12 per Senior and $17 for Individuals; that fee covers materials charges for the entire year.
