40 Years
of Dental
Excellence
I
n 1978, Dr. Larry Suher, freshly discharged
as a captain in the Army Medical Corps,
started a small practice so he could
continue helping patients with their various
dental issues. Today, the house he converted
into offices more than 40 years ago is now
one of the larger dental practices around,
offering a multitude of services from its three
staff doctors and 20 support staff members.
“We are completely modern as far as
equipment, with digital X-rays, early cancer
detection system and more,” said Dr. Suher.
“We see children, seniors and everyone
in between for extractions, mini implants,
cosmetic work, full mouth rehabilitations,
Invisalign, veneers and pretty much
everything else related to today’s dentistry.”
He is accompanied by Drs. Lauren Sterner
and Jessica Du, who each bring unique and
specific expertise to the practice.
Dr. Sterner graduated from the University
of Pittsburgh Dental School and received
additional training at York Hospital,
where she performed general dentistry
and oral surgery on pediatric and special
needs patients. She honed her skills with
removable prosthetics for adults and
emergency trauma cases as well. Dr. Sterner
teaches part time at the University of
Pittsburgh Dental School in the Department
of Pediatric Dentistry and, in her spare
time, volunteers with organizations like the
Special Olympics to provide needed dental
services for the participating athletes.
Dr. Du provides patients with general
dentistry services and was trained and
certified by the American Academy of Facial
Aesthetics for Botox and other fillers as
cosmetic remedies in addition to medical
treatments for issues such as clenching of
teeth. She graduated from the New York
University College of Dentistry, and enjoys

giving back to the community through Dr.
Suher & Associates’ Dentistry From the Heart
program, which is a day of free dental service
for local residents without insurance.
Dr. Suher, a Case Western graduate who
also taught at the University of Pittsburgh
Dental School for 14 years, believes that
quality dentistry is also accessible dentistry.
Emergency services are available seven
days a week, and regular hours are available
Monday through Saturday, with evening
hours until 7 p.m. three nights a week. The
practice accepts most major insurances and
private pay, and has financial assistance
programs such as CareCredit available to
patients who need it. With such dedication
to its patients and community, it’s no wonder
why Dr. Suher & Associates was voted Best
Practice in 2017 by the community.
“We have a wonderful clientele here in
Monroeville and the surrounding areas, and
we are very thankful for them,” Dr. Suher said.
“We’ve dedicated our practice to quality
care, and people appreciate that.”
Dr. Suher & Associates also rewards
patients for referring friends and families.
The first two referrals would get you a $25
Giant Eagle gift card, the next two a $50
Giant Eagle gift card, and then five or more
referrals would earn you a $75 Sheetz gift
card and VIP status. When you reach VIP
status you get quarterly gifts from the office.
A quarterly referral contest has resulted in
patients receiving smart TVs, new grills, and
trips to Mexico. This quarter the practice is
giving away a new luggage set and a $400
Southwest Airlines gift card.
