PITCAIRN’S FAMILY ALBUM The Pitcairn Historical Society has a book available for purchase entitled, Pitcairn’s Family Album. March is the month of the Maple Moon according to the Native American calendar. Boyce Park will be the site of the Maple Sugaring Festival held on March 15 which will have enjoyable events for all age groups. Visitors will learn about the pioneer and Native American lore surrounding the maple sugaring process. Experience firsthand how to identify maple trees and collect the sweet sap that makes the coveted syrup. Groups such as the scouts and 4-H clubs should pre-register. The Western Pennsylvania Kennel Association (WPKA) is holding its Annual Dog Show on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday April 7 at the Monroeville Convention Center. The WPKA Dog Show is a longstanding tradition. It’s been held almost every year since 1938. The show is open to the public. Doors open at 7 a.m. and judging begins at 9
