HAVE A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS!
Port Farms in Waterford is a great place to get away and enjoy a little bit of farm life while finding the perfect Christmas tree and visiting with Santa in the workshop.
You can also take a horse and carriage ride, and weather permitting, a sleigh ride! The fun begins Nov. 28, and continues every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 21.
To experience a wonderful day in the country, visit this family farm established in 1897. For more information and other events at the farm, visit portfarms. com / event-calendar.
‘ COME HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS’ WITH ERIE PHILHARMONIC
A cherished holiday tradition returns to the Philharmonic with an evening of holiday classics.
The Erie Philharmonic, the Philharmonic Chorus and the Erie Philharmonic Youth Choirs will join with dancers from Mercyhurst University and Broadway star Blaine Krauss in a festive celebration of the season, under the masterful direction of Daniel Meyer.
This family-friendly event is an annual tradition for many area residents, with a carol sing-along and favorite holiday tunes. There will also be a visit from Santa!
The special night will be Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p. m. To get tickets and more details, visit eriephil. org.
ASBURY WOODS HOLIDAY EVENTS
Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland returns to Asbury Woods this year, with the event taking place Thursday through Sunday in December.
The Boardwalk will be adorned in beautiful lights, the Andrew J. Conner Nature Center will have a train display, and the gift shop will be open for browsing.
There will also be live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays with an outdoor fire. Crafts, hot chocolate and snacks will also be offered, along with special 3-D glasses that will give a whole new dimension to the light display.
The event is free to the public, but a $ 5 donation is suggested.
Wreath Making Class
For those who love to make handcrafted decorations for the holidays, there will be a wreath making class on Dec. 4, using locally sourced evergreen fronds. This class is designed for any skill level, from beginner to seasoned crafter. There is a class fee.
Holiday Door Swag Class
On Dec. 18, participants will be able to make a door decoration— with freshcut greenery, ribbon, and decorative items— for welcoming holiday guests to your home! There is a class fee.

MUSIC FOR VETERANS
Music for Veterans was founded in 2011, providing camaraderie at weekly music sessions where veterans are able to play music together and build friendships.
The positive results have been welldocumented, and the program has received accolades from the Veterans Administration and the Veterans Center.
If you are able to donate an instrument for a vet to play, or would like to make a contribution, visit the website at music4veterans. org.
To keep up-to-date with upcoming performances around the area, or to join this wonderful group of musicians, visit the Facebook page at facebook. com / Music4Veterans. n
