MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP NEWS
The Erie Water Works Customer Service Department is responsible for billing and collecting payments for water service, but also for sewer and garbage services on behalf of Millcreek Township. In 2024, Erie Water Works delivered over 1.4 billion gallons of water to 20,700 customer accounts in Millcreek Township.
Representatives are available by phone, email, and in person to help customers understand their water usage, set up a new service, transfer service when moving, or explore payment options. Sometimes an issue requires more than a phone call— that’ s when our team coordinates directly with our field operations crews. From scheduling meter checks to dispatching emergency response teams for water main breaks, the department ensures that service disruptions are addressed as quickly as possible. We understand water is essential to daily life, and we take pride in being a reliable resource for our customers. We are the only utility that delivers a consumable, life-sustaining product to your home or business.
If you have a billing question, problem or request, please call our Customer Service Department Monday through Friday, 8:00 a. m. to 4:30 p. m., at 814-870-8000 ext. 71.
PennDOT closed the Bayfront Parkway between Sassafras Street Extension and Holland Street just after Labor Day. Erie Water Works customers who typically visit the John J. McCormick Jr. Administration Building on the Bayfront to pay their bill might find it more convenient to use the payment drop box located at 240 West 12th Street. Please note there are no customer service representatives at the 12th Street location.
Asbury Tanks Pump Station Replacement
The construction of a new pump station along Asbury Road is expected to be complete in early November. This $ 5,000,000 project replaced the old pump station which was undersized to meet the growing needs of Millcreek Township. The new facility has several key features designed to enhance service and reliability including advanced disinfection capabilities and an onsite emergency generator to ensure uninterrupted water supply during power outages.
The Erie Water Works appreciates the patience, collaboration, and support of customers in the area during construction. These investments show our commitment to being your world-class regional water supplier.
