A NEW ERA FOR WEST 8 STREET
Presque Isle State Park draws visitors from around the world. Best known for its year-round recreational activities which include miles of trails and beaches, Pennsylvania ' s most visited State Park boasts over 4 million visitors a year.
Just before entering the Presque Isle State Park, visitors will find the Gateway to Presque Isle District which is full of shops, dining, and activities. However, visitors will soon have even more to do and experience as the Gateway is in a period of renaissance. illcreek

In 2026 and beyond, look for new development and redevelopment being done in the Gateway to Presque Isle District. Construction may begin as early as 2026 to build mixed-use spaces, which could include retail, eateries, hospitality, and living, located at W. 8th St. and Peninsula Drive.
