THE GIVING TREE
Millcreek Township is once again sponsoring a Giving Tree this Holiday Season!
Around Thanksgiving, a Christmas Tree will appear in the lobby of the Millcreek Township Municipal Building. Along with twinkling lights and shiny ornaments, this tree will be decorated with goodwill. The Giving Tree will be adorned with envelopes that are filled with a tag of an individual child or an envelope with tags of an entire family in need of extra support from their community during this holiday season. The Township works with the guidance counselors at each of our school district’ s elementary schools to help compile the recipients of our Giving Tree. Each tag contains information regarding the child’ s gender, age, clothing size and a small wish list.
We encourage anyone with the means to consider sponsoring a child or family from our Giving Tree and making it part of your holiday this year. The Giving Tree can be a great way for families, neighbors, coworkers, or friends to get in the holiday spirit while giving back to the less fortunate youth in our community.
To participate, a sponsor is welcome to come into the Township Building, located at 3608 West 26th Street, select an envelope from the tree and purchase gifts for the child / family. The Township asks that the wrapped and labeled gifts or gift cards be returned to the Township Building no later than Monday, December 15th!
Thank you in advance for all the support and making our Giving Tree a success once again!

MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP NEWS
WM will be collecting live Christmas trees curbside on residents’ regular trash and recycle collection day during the week of January 19- 23, 2025. Trees will be composted at the Millfair Compost Center instead of being sent to a local landfill. All live trees should have tree stands, tinsel, ornaments, and decorations removed prior to being placed curbside for collection.
