Winter’ s on its way! Here’ s how we can all help keep our roads and neighborhoods safe this snow season.
STREET PARKING IS NOT PERMITTED DURING A WINTER WEATHER EVENT
A weather event is considered when the performance of plowing, salting or other removal services is needed to clear the streets.
SNOW RESPONSIBILITIES
Sidewalks should be cleared within 24 hours after snowfall.
Remove snow, ice and other accumulations to ensure sidewalks are in safe conditions.
Provide for a continuous path of travel through driveways / parking lots to adjacent sidewalks and crosswalks. Ensure entire width of sidewalk area is free.
Owners of property which touch a street or state highway where a sidewalk has been constructed shall be responsible for the proper care, maintenance and condition of said sidewalk.
