There were so many warm days where we enjoyed visiting Presque Isle, joining friends for lunch at many of our outdoor cafes, or just quietly relaxing in our own back yard. Of course, the winding down of summer leads us to one of our beautiful autumns, giving way to vibrant foliage colors and everything pumpkin spice! There is also crispness in the air to remind us the white stuff is on its way. Although we broke the snow record last year (no matter what anyone says!), we are hoping we don’t have an encore presentation! Many winter tips appear in this issue of IN Millcreek magazine, from plowing & parking suggestions, DUI reminders and holiday shopping safety, along with the importance of winter preparedness. Check out the upcoming schedules for free income tax preparation, healthcare screenings and Lifeworks events. Be sure to read the clarification on recycling practices for Millcreek residents in our Recycling pages. We are also pleased to announce the launch of our new website. Take a minute and check out www.millcreektownship.com ! We are very proud of the updates and user friendly format. You will also want to stop in to the Municipal Building after the Thanksgiving Holiday and select an envelope from our Giving Tree to help those children who are less fortunate. On Tuesday, August 28th, following over a year of public participation, the Embrace Millcreek comprehensive plan was adopted by the Board. We are excited to begin implementing key action items that will allow the full potential of Embrace Millcreek to be realized. We hope you enjoy this issue of IN Millcreek and all the winter activities our area has to offer. John Groh, John Morgan, Jim Bock Announcing The Launch Of Our New Website!
