ince opening its doors in the West Erie Plaza in 1950,
Filip Jewelers, which later became Lighthouse by Filip
and eventually moved its home across 8th Street, has
been a holiday shopping tradition in Millcreek for 67
years. Today, Lighthouse Jewelers is far more than your
local jewelry store. Owners Chet and Paula Bixby have a
special knack of bringing customers a surprising selection
of treasures from classic styles to the latest trends.
At Lighthouse Jewelers you’ll find extraordinary items from around the world, such
as their unique new snow globes specially designed for them to feature the Presque Isle
lighthouse. The snow globes are handcrafted in Austria by the company Original Vienna
Snow Globes, a family business, that has carried on the tradition for over a century.
Also new this Holiday season, Lighthouse Jewelers introduces its first design in their
Wonder of Creation jewelry collection. The eye-catching puffer fish sand sculpture, in
sterling silver and gold, recreates the sacred geometry pattern found in nature when the
puffer fish creates a sand design during its mating ritual.
