DON’T LET THE FLU BUG YOU
Getting an annual flu vaccine is the first
and best way to protect yourself and your
family from the flu. Flu vaccination can
reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and
missed work and school due to flu, as well
as prevent flu-related hospitalizations.
The more people who get vaccinated,
the more people will be protected
from flu, including older people, very
young children, pregnant women and
people with certain health conditions
who are more vulnerable to serious flu
complications.*
LifeWorks Erie’s “Don’t Let the Flu
Bug You” community clinics are held
throughout the region at hundreds
of convenient locations from early
September thru the end of November.
Also, flu shots will be available Monday
through Friday at LifeWorks Erie’s main
office at 406 Peach Street from 9:00 a.m.
until 4:30 p.m.
When getting vaccinated at one of our
clinics no appointment is necessary and
there is no up-front cost. Simply present
your primary health insurance card and
12 Millcreek
LifeWorks Erie staff will do all the rest. The
cost of the vaccination is usually covered
by an individual’s primary health
insurance. LifeWorks Erie will directly bill
F
all health insurance providers, including
Medicare and Medicaid. All proceeds
remain in Erie County and help
underwrite the many programs and
services for older adults provided by
LifeWorks Erie.
