Letter from the Supervisors

So now we’ ve had great summer weather, followed by an amazing fall. The warm, sunny days were ideal for enjoying the turning leaves, some football and a little apple cider. Let’ s hope things don’ t even out this winter.
As we well know, our winters include a fair amount of snow. This issue of In Millcreek includes tips concerning snow removal and being prepared to venture out into the white stuff. You’ ll also find helpful suggestions from our Police Department and Emergency Management regarding holiday safety and avoiding fires.
More Christmas season information in this issue involves the elimination of the tree recycling at the Millfair Recycling Center. Instead of dropping off your trees, this year Advanced Disposal will be picking up your trees curbside and delivering them to the Recycling Center, where they’ ll be ground up. This is expected to eliminate even more of the dead trees from taking up space at the landfill.
This issue again features articles on various health services available in the township, tax preparation help and recycling.
In future issues of In Millcreek, expect to see updates on the exciting process we’ re calling Embrace Millcreek … the plan for our community’ s future. Your participation is important, so watch for more public meetings or check out the website. Enjoy the holidays, stay safe and remember that spring is right around the corner.
