As with all public activities these days , there are safety precautions park visitors should plan for when heading out . First and foremost , please do not visit any park or trails if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 . It is recommended for park goers to carry hand sanitizer and use it regularly ; restroom facility access may not be guaranteed at every park . Social distancing ( 6 feet ) is still important while on a trail or in a park space . Good references of a 6-foot distance are an adult bike , a yoga mat , length of a jump rope , or approximately 2 arms lengths . When you arrive at a park , if the parking area looks too crowded , consider going to a different park or returning at a different time . We urge residents to leave no trace while visiting our parks and trails . This means collecting and carrying out everything that you take with you when you visit a park , including any trash you may have accumulated . The Township also requests that all dog companions be kept on a leash while walking our trails . These practices all help keep parks and trails open and safe for visitors to enjoy .
As Millcreek ’ s best weather is finally arriving , we encourage all our residents to get involved in exploration recreation by discovering a new local park or trail and taking time to experience the joy and health benefits of time spent outdoors and in nature .
