ARTIMUS PYLE OF LYNYRD SKYNYRD TO HEADLINE
CHARITY CONCERT THIS SUMMER
The Erie Humane Society is Honoring Local Veterans and Raising Funds for
New Shelter to Service Program
The Erie Humane Society, along with Accudyn Products, Inc., is thrilled to announce
the return of the Rock & Rescue Charity Concert on Saturday, Aug. 10, with Artimus Pyle
of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The concert is not only honoring local veterans, but also raising funds
for the shelter’s new grassroots program, Shelter to Service.
The concert will, once again, be held at the Humane Society, where the campus will be
transformed into a concert venue. Tickets are now on sale: VIP tickets are $125 each and
include a VIP party, with hors d’oeuvres and drinks, VIP parking, and a premium viewing
area for the concert; General Admission tickets are $25 each. Food and drinks will be
available for all ticketholders to purchase. Tickets are available for purchase by visiting
eriehumanesociety.org, or stopping at the shelter.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Shelter to Service program and the shelter
pets in Erie Humane Society’s care.
A “Battle of the Bands” this spring will pit five local bands against each other to compete
for the top prize—performing live as the opening act for Artimus Pyle of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The Erie Humane Society is a local, independent, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit
animal shelter. Operating under “no-kill” standards, its mission is to rescue, rehabilitate,
and re-home pets in need. The shelter works to rehabilitate the whole pet, understanding
his/her behavioral, medical, and emotional needs. Erie Humane Society receives no
governmental assistance or funds from national advocacy programs for shelter operations
and has no affiliation with the Humane Society of the United States. It is located at
2407 Zimmerly Road, Erie, 16506.
