2025 MPD EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

CHRISTOPHER LARSEN

When Patrolman Katrina Kuhl separated from the Millcreek Police Department, much of the responsibility for the Police Athletic League( PAL) program shifted to Patrolman Christopher Larsen.

In 2025, Larsen assumed the lion’ s share of those duties. He did so willingly, and largely behind the scenes, continuing the work of a program still very much in its early stages. illcreek

From planning to execution, Larsen has taken ownership of the day-to-day operations that keep PAL moving.
He coordinates PAL days and schedules events, often handling logistics on his own time. Beyond programming, Larsen has strengthened partnerships throughout the community.
He worked with local restaurants to expand free meals for PAL participants and served as a liaison between PAL, the Millcreek Police Department, and local businesses, securing donations of sporting goods, equipment, and water bottles. His outreach helped establish a partnership with Elks Lodge # 67, which awarded Millcreek PAL a $ 3,000 gratitude grant and brought the Elks Drug Awareness Program into PAL.

RELATIONSHIPS THAT MATTER

Perhaps most impactful is the trust Larsen has built with PAL participants and their families. When disciplinary referrals arise, teachers often bring concerns directly to Larsen rather than following traditional school channels. Larsen routinely volunteers to address these situations, sometimes visiting students’ homes or coordinating meetings with parents at school. Many of these efforts take place while he is off duty. The Millcreek PAL program is still in its infancy, but its impact is already visible. Much of that momentum is the result of consistent presence, personal investment, and relationships built over time that Patrolman Christopher Larsen continues to carry forward.
