Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art . Today , it is practiced as an exercise that promotes the flow of " Chi " or energy in the body .

This class is for students who have learned the entire 111 postures and have received a certificate .

MIXED LEVEL TAI CHI PRACTICE
Instructor : Amy Easly To keep students fluent in the Yang-Style Tai Chi they have learned in the Intermediate or Advanced classes at Asbury Barn , Amy will be leading students through all 3 sections of the form . This low intensity , traditional Chinese exercise combines slow and gentle movements with deep breathing and relaxation . Due to the pace of the class , prior Tai Chi experience is required . This course is not open to beginner level Tai Chi Students .

Qi Gong ( chee-kung ) is an ancient healing art from China . The art consists of very slow and gentle movements . It will restore and increase your energy , reduce anxiety , improve balance and help you maintain a healthy active lifestyle .

Instructor : Nylene Baney Mat Pilates is a great option for those new to the Pilates practice . Pilates is a system of exercise and movement that is designed to increase strength , flexibility and balance . With the integration of breath , movement and proper body mechanics , you will see an increased awareness both physically and mentally . This class will focus on the 6 core principles of Pilates which include : Breathing , Concentration , Centering , Control , Precision and Flow . This will allow you to hone in on the dynamic energy of your power house while training your arms and legs which will result in a much toner , leaner and stronger you !
