BEDAZZLED BY BEES !
Bees are so important to our survival . Join volunteer beekeeper Charlie Schroeck to learn everything needed to be a successful backyard beekeeper . The four-week workshop begins Wednesday , April 5 , 6:30-8:30 p . m ., and is for adults and teens age 16 and up . You ’ ll learn about honey bees , the equipment needed and harvesting techniques .
Registration is required , and the program fee of $ 65 includes the book “ Starting Right with Bees .” The workshop will be held at the Andrew J . Conner Nature Center , located at 4105 Asbury Road . For more information , visit asburywoods . org or call 814.835.5356 .

It ’ s still winter , but spring is on the way ! Watch the forest come back to life at Asbury Woods , with 216 acres of forests , field , streams and historic properties . It ’ s an excellent place to enjoy running , mountain biking and just a nice stroll in the woods .
Be sure to visit asburywoods . org for 2023 programming , including the popular “ Monday Music in the Woods ” series , featuring local acts performing folk , bluegrass , classic rock and other genres of music in the beautiful natural setting .
