Letter from the Supervisors
The past Winter had a few difficulties , but as usual , nothing our crews couldn ’ t manage . Spring is right around the corner and warmer weather is not far away .
This issue is full of some great features and information you will find useful as we move into the Spring season . We said goodbye to some long-time employees and hello to some new faces in many of our township departments . The Millcreek Government Channel has some new episodes and we have some information regarding the AARP Drivers Safety Class , Pa . Property Tax Rent Rebate and an article on Social Security .
Beginning with the next billing cycle , charges for refuse collection and recycling will no longer be paid to Waste Management . Starting in April , these charges will be included in the bill received from Erie Water Works
Fixed Quarterly Fee for Unlimited Collection :
It ' s been a busy time for our Police Department with the retirement of Chief Scott Heidt and welcoming our new Chief , Carter Mook . Several new officers were hired , and this created a few promotions within the ranks . Congratulations to all !
Speaking of Public Safety , check out some of the highlights within the Fire Service including a special article regarding Volunteering . There ’ s some big changes coming , learn how the Township is moving forward with efforts to enhance Fire Staffing for the protection of our residents .
Our Planning and Development Office has an article regarding Stormwater Management that you will find informative . The Millfair Compost Center has several topic areas that you will find useful . We will again have a Special Collection Event in May and don ’ t forget to check out our 2023 hours of operation and pricing schedule .
