Letter from
the Supervisors
We seem to have been able to avoid winter for a good part of
the season. There’s still plenty of time for more snow, but there is
light at the end of the tunnel. We will eventually see longer days
and warmer weather.
The New Year has several long time employees retiring along with new faces joining the
team. We also welcome newly elected Supervisor, Dan Ouellet. In this issue, take time to read
the 2020 Census article. It will explain the procedure and the importance of your response.
Our Recycling Appreciation Day, held on January 22nd, was a huge success and the evening
was especially enjoyable with the addition of the Pittsburgh Pirates! Along with spring, comes
the opening of the Millfair Compost Center and the upcoming Special Collections event. Public
Services will update you on programs offered at the Township along with new shows on the
Millcreek Government Channel. Emergency Management, Code Enforcement, and the Police
Departments have information on winter property damage, aggressive driving, and seat belt
safety. All very important topics!
Let’s hold a good thought that the snow shovel can be put away and we can bring out the
lawn mowers! Happy Spring!
