MRS Physical
Therapy—
Where
You’re
Family
F
or nearly 20 years, the MRS Physical
Therapy family has been growing,
providing patients with excellent care
by a physical therapist—not an aide or
assistant. Attention to the needs of the
patient; one-on-one, personalized care;
and willingness to go the extra mile makes
it one of the area’s best practices for those
who require therapy services.
“Every patient is unique and we tailor
our treatment approach to meet their
individual needs,” said physical therapist
Laura Oleski, MPT. “We believe in positive
reinforcement and setting goals to help
patients regain function. We dispel the
many misconceptions out there regarding
trendy approaches, and we stress
consistent activity to get you on the road
to success.”
Oleski graduated magna cum laude
from Gannon University in May 1998,
with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation. She
completed her undergraduate clinical
internship at Lake Erie Institute of
Rehabilitation working with brain injury
patients. She completed her master’s
degree in Physical Therapy at Gannon in
2000.
Located on Peach Street, MRS Physical
Therapy’s early morning and evening
hours allow all patients to access the care
they need while taking into consideration
busy schedules. In addition to being a
fixture on the street, MRS Physical Therapy
is a fixture in the local community. It
has been acknowledged as a Bread Box
Winner for the Second Harvest Food Bank
and has supported the American Red
Cross by hosting blood drives.
“In Erie, everyone knows everyone,
and our patients truly are like family to
us,” Oleski said. “So being active in the
community is just another way to be
present for those who need us. We have
patients who come back to us time and
again because they tweak something
and know we’re here for them. We have
one gentleman who belongs to a local
gym and works out religiously, but he still
comes here for guidance to ensure that
the exercises he’s doing address his own
body’s needs.”
By being licensed for Direct
Access, and by being a Medicare
Certified Rehab Agency that accepts
the majority of insurance plans on
the market, patients do not need a
physician’s referral for physical therapy
treatment.
“Call us and describe your unique
situation. We can see most patients
within 24 business hours for an
evaluation,” Oleski said. “It’s that
simple. You’ll receive the best possible
care and you won’t be a number. At
MRS you will be guaranteed to see a
physical therapist. You choose your
family dentist and family doctor; let
MRS Physical Therapy be your family’s
chosen physical therapy location.”
