Tuite( pronounced“ Twee-Tay”) is the origin of many Asian martial arts, including Karate. Unlike modern self-defense methods, Tuite focuses on redirecting an attacker’ s energy, using muscle movements rather than strength or power. It emphasizes natural, biomechanically correct movements, which can be learned by anyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Tuite’ s techniques are taught through traditional katas, allowing students to practice both in class and at home. This ancient method, which was brought to the U. S. in 1980, is exclusively taught by Joe Logue in the Erie area since 1993. No special equipment is required— just regular clothing. Ages 14 & up are welcome!
