BEHREND HOSTS THE RUN FOR WOMEN 5K
Registration is open for the 4th annual Women’ s Engagement Council Run for Women 5K, which will take place on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 8 a. m. This is a run / walk event and will be held at Penn State Behrend.
The 3.1-mile course starts and finishes in front of the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Center( AMIC) on Technology Drive at the college campus. The course is relatively flat.
Registration is $ 25( including T-shirt) or $ 20 for registration only. There is a special price for students: $ 10, or $ 15 with a T-shirt.
Every finisher will receive a prize, with recognition awards for the top three men and women, as well as group awards for women.
Participants will enjoy free Berkey Creamery ice cream at the post-race party for a sweet ending to a great event.

THE CULTURAL LOOP
A free trolley runs Saturday evenings in Erie from 5 p. m. to midnight, with stops at the Warner Theatre, Erie Playhouse, The Renaissance Center, Dafmark Dance Theater, the Erie Art Museum, the Sheraton Erie Bayfront and several other destinations.
The Cultural Loop is a partnership between the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Erie Philharmonic. Sit back, relax, and see all that downtown Erie has to offer on the 20L!
