Millcreek Township is the 14th‐largest municipality in Pennsylvania, bigger than some cities, spanning over 32 square miles with approximately 54,000 residents. It offers a balanced suburban feel with easy access to both downtown and rural amenities nearby.
The township’ s name comes from Mill Creek, the stream that powered grist and sawmills in the 19th century, playing a key role in local industry and agriculture.
Millcreek currently operates under a Second-Class Township Code and is governed by a Board of Supervisors( 3 elected officials) who manage ordinances, budgeting, operations, and public services.
Millcreek Township’ s annual revenues are drawn primarily from real estate property taxes, earned income taxes, and realty transfer taxes, with additional income from cable franchise fees, state liquid fuels funding, permits, fines, investments, and grants.
