ONE-OF-A-KIND CAR
DONATION PROGRAM
Community Auto, part of The
Lighthouse Foundation, is a nonprofit
low-income car ownership program. It
accepts donated cars, repairs and inspects
them if necessary, then sells them to
qualified working low-income people
at discounted prices, as compared to a
regular used car dealership.
According to the organization, it’s
the only one of its kind in western
Pennsylvania that puts cars back into
the hands of families in the Greater
Pittsburgh area.
The used car sitting in the garage that
you didn’t sell because it was a hassle, a
car that didn’t get the trade-in value you
wanted, or one the kids used for school
but is no longer needed would be perfect
to donate. Your generous donation is the
fuel for the program and is tax deductible.
Contact Community Auto
at communityautolico.org or at
724.538.5081 to find out how to donate
your car and give a family a hand toward
self-sufficiency.

PITTSBURGH CONCERT
CHORALE 2019-2020
SEASON
The Pittsburgh Concert Chorale's
2019-2020 concert schedule celebrates
35 years of singing.
“The Pittsburgh Concert Chorale
has some big plans in store for our
35th anniversary season, which began
with our eighth annual Pittsburgh
Sings: The Pittsburgh Concert Chorale
Festival of Choirs at Carnegie Music
Hall in Oakland,” said Music Director
Susan Medley. “Pittsburgh Sings brings
together three high school choirs
from the greater Pittsburgh region as a
celebration of choral music, and this year
the event was offered free of charge to
everyone.
“In December we were joined by the
Jazz Conspiracy Swingtet which offered
A Big Band Christmas, a swinging mix
of holiday favorites and sing-alongs. We
were also pleased to present our third
annual Messiah
Sing, a free event
that invites audience
members to join
the PCC in singing
Handel’s beloved
masterpiece.
“A perennial
audience favorite,
Orff ’s ‘Carmina
Burana’ takes center stage for our spring
concerts, including a special performance
at Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland. Our
audience members and singers will choose
the music in our May concerts, 35 Years
of Favorites. Throughout the year people
are invited to submit their favorites from
past seasons, and those requests will form
the program for our final concerts of the
season. We are so excited to celebrate our
35th anniversary.”
Upcoming concerts include:
• “Carmina Burana,” 7:30 p.m. Friday,
Feb. 28, at Ingomar United Methodist
Church and 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1,
at Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland.
The epic masterpiece by Carl Orff
will be performed by the PCC with
Orff ’s authorized arrangement for two
pianos and percussion.
• In April, the PCC celebrates 35
years with a Gala Celebration! From
a silent auction to a dessert bar, this
will be an event not to be missed.
Further information for this April 17
event will be posted on the website
soon.
• 35 Years of Favorites, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 2, at Fox Chapel
Presbyterian Church, and 4 p.m.
Sunday, May 3, at Ingomar United
Methodist Church. The concert will
feature favorite songs suggested by
singers and audience members from
the past 34 seasons.
Individual concert tickets are available
for purchase in advance or at the door.
Prices are: Adults – $20 ($23 at the door);
students – $8; and no admission cost for
