The Community Outreach Liaisons of McKeesport Area School District have partnered with the McKeesport
Area Education Foundation in creating the “MASD Beyond 12” scholarship fund. The McKeesport Area School
District is looking to promote higher education to our youth by rolling out a new initiative. We are providing
graduating seniors with financial assistance to attend a college, trade school, or any post-secondary education.
Since founded in October 2019, Lacie Kondrosky and Troy Blackwell have collected over $5,500. They have
collected donations from 67 staff member that participate in a bi-weekly payroll deduction, staff members
and students that participate in denim days, and have received 14 one-time donations from local residents
and businesses. Thank you to those who have made the first year of this scholarship fund successful.
