MCKEESPORT AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT RECEIVES SUPER BOWL HIGH SCHOOL HONOR ROLL VISIT FROM FOUR PLAYERS cKeespor cKeesportt C IT KE MC Y OE FSPO MCRKE T ARE ES POR A SC TH NE OO WS L DI S TRI C T NE WS On Friday, February 5, 2016, former NFL players and alumni of McKeesport Area High School visited their alma mater to present a commemorative Wilson Golden Football in each of their honor. The NFL’s Super Bowl High School Honor Roll celebrates high schools and communities that have contributed to Super Bowl history. This platform is designed to link past Super Bowls with this year’s game and honor the high schools and communities that have positively impacted the game of football. High schools across the nation, and around the world, will receive a commemorative Wilson Golden Football for every 46 McKeesport Area player or head coach who graduated from their school and was on an active Super Bowl roster. The NFL Foundation will provide the schools with a new character education curriculum and the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $5,000 to help support and grow their football programs. The NFL Foundation has invested $1 million towards the campaign.
