FILM PREMIERE OF
DRAVOSBURG
DOCUMENTARY
On Jan. 24, a historical documentary,
“Silent Tales,” premiered at the Grand Theatre
in Elizabeth. The film details the lives of
several area residents who were ordinary
individuals but had extraordinary brushes
with historical events. A McKeesport resident
who carried Lincoln’s body from Ford’s
Theater was featured in the film, as are a
mother and her children who perished in the
Spanish Influenza epidemic and the person
believed to be the lone survivor of the Battle
of the Little Bighorn. The film also contains
the account of a paranormal experience
that happened at Richland Cemetery.
The premiere screening was followed by a
reception in the lobby of the Grand Theatre.
“Silent Tales” will be shown throughout
the area in local venues and can be scheduled
for showings by contacting the Dravosburg
Community Archives on Facebook.
