milk, water & detergent bottles). A recycling calendar for the
year is printed below for your convenience. It’s so easy to
recycle, so there is no excuse not to! Keep your bin or can near
your mailbox and just toss junk mail right into the bin before
you even bring it into the house! Another idea is to keep a
small box in your kitchen to toss recyclables into. Once the
box is full, just empty it into your bin that is outside. You’ll be
surprised with how many things end up in your recycling bin!

Just a reminder – recycling is picked up every other week
along with garbage pickup in McKeesport. Just place your
recycling bin (or any other bin or can designated for recycling)
next to your garbage can. The next recycling pickup week in
the city is March 10, and every other week following through
the rest of the year. Just about anything that goes into your
garbage can be recycled instead of going into the garbage,
saving you money by not buying as many garbage bags! A few
of the items that can’t be recycled are tissues, paper towels and
