Prince said that the company employs about 20 people year-round; more workers are added on a seasonal basis when needed. “Our business is much like a big, happy, dysfunctional family,” he says laughing. Prince, who has a background in visual arts and communication, has been with the business for more than 20 years and runs it with General Manager Tom Griffin, a long-term employee who has been with the company for 40 years. Prince said some of the employees had been hired by his grandfather, and have worked for the company for decades. “We are proud of our product, and proud of our history. We’ve truly been blessed to be a part of this business,” says Prince. As for what the future holds for this historicyet-modern business, Prince notes, “The future is a relative thing. We’ve stayed current by evolving and by never resting on our laurels. Our goal, of course, is to survive. We can only do that if we keep doing what we’re doing, and to keep doing what we do best.
