58TH ANNUAL
INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE
The 58th Annual International Village
was held August 15, 16 and 17 from 3 to 9
p.m. at Renziehausen Park.
Founded in 1960, McKeesport’s
International Village is a three-day
celebration of shared traditions and
heritage that includes food, music, dancing,
traditional clothing and crafts. It is one
of the Pittsburgh area’s oldest and largest
ethnic festivals.
“I am extremely proud of McKeesport’s
58th Annual International Village, as
well as the committee of volunteers who
put this first-class event together,” said
Mayor Michael Cherepko. “Every year,
this event celebrates the diverse heritage
of the McKeesport community – Eastern
European, Scandinavian, African, Asian
and so much more. This year, we had
record numbers of McKeesporters,
neighbors from across our region and
visitors from as far away as California,
Florida or Hawaii gather in Renzie Park to
enjoy three evenings of international foods,
music and dance.”
